EWALU Supplies and Schedule of Events

WHAT TO BRING TO EWALU:

It isn’t our intent that parents should have to purchase new equipment for this trip. If there are

things on the packing list you don’t have, borrow what you can or substitute something practical

(except raingear).

_____ Bed roll (sleeping bag and pillow, sheets, blankets, pillow).

_____ Pajamas or clothes to sleep in.

_____ Toilet articles including one towel, one washcloth, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste,

comb or brush.

_____ One change of clothes (Warm and comfortable jeans or sweat pants are best for

hiking in the woods. Evenings are cool even if the days are warm. One pair of shorts in case it

should be very warm).

_____ Cool weather out clothing (jacket, sweater, sweatshirt).

_____ TWO pairs of COMFORTABLE shoes or hiking boots. You may also consider

sending two baggies that can be used over socks if we see shoes will be getting wet.

_____ Rainwear (not a nylon jacket, garbage bag or umbrella).

This should not be

packed, but carried by the student.

_____ Tissues or handkerchiefs.

_____ A bag to separate dirty clothes and wet articles, such as towels and washcloths,

from any clean clothes on the return trip.

_____ Flashlight (please check the batteries).

OPTIONAL ITEMS
_____ Slippers

_____ Inexpensive watch

_____ Camera ( NO Cell-phone cameras)

Please leave all money, expensive jewelry, watches, etc. at home. We cannot assume

responsibility for items lost or damaged. There will be no opportunity to spend money at camp.

No food, candy, gum, games (of any kind), knives, matches, or radios should be taken to camp.

No

Electronic devices (Ipods or DSI) or cell phones are allowed – not even as cameras

We request that hair dryers and curling irons be left at home for safety reasons.

PACKING SUGGESTIONS

Place your gear in the smallest bag possible, as space will be very limited on the bus. Please

bring an older, durable bag, as baggage gets tossed around a lot during the loading and

unloading processes.

PLAINLY TAG OR MARK EVERYTHING!!
