Today we met with our first grade friends.  We are working together to increase our vocabulary and reading skills. Today we watched a short video clip on Firedog Martha. Our vocabulary words were real, fantasy, pretend and actually. We played a game of tic-tac-toe. Our first grade friends had to identify the picture as real or fantasy to earn mark. It was fun. Here are some snapshots of what happened with our friends.

School Work for February 7 - 10

Dear Parents
I hope your children enjoyed the snow days. I enjoyed the time at home getting all caught up on the cooking and cleaning things and just being a mom. Now for school work.  For this week, their spelling words will stay the same with the test on Thursday. We are still reading the story The Night Alone, so the test will be Wednesday. As far as the root words, they will be same with the test on Thursday. I checked the students today and I am proud to say only two students missed them! :)  Math, Social Studies, and Science will be new material for them.  Have a great weekend.
